ApplyDescriptionJob Title: Control Operator IDepartment: OperationsReports To: Production SupervisorGrade: 36Location: Toone, TNFLSA Status: Non-ExemptEEO: 7JOB SUMMARYOperates mix, extrude, grain machining, and final assembly equipment via Building 90 control room and/or HMI panels. Operations control is executed remotely via HMI interfaces throughout the production process. Ensures appropriate components are used in the production processes and completes shift log and production process information as necessary.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Remotely operates automated machine equipment (composition mixing through final assembly) using control panels, HMIs, and computer systems.* Monitors control panel for alarms of all production equipment from mixing to final assembly, stops production when required, and alerts supervisor and proper personnel (example: safety, maintenance, engineering, etc.) to rectify alarm situation.* Cleaning and decontamination of production equipment* Completion of standard production paperwork in support of operations and production control* Other duties assigned by supervisor.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS* Special projects and additional duties as assignedRequirementsEDUCATION* High school diploma or equivalent preferred* Associates degree or technical degree (controls/PLC or similar) preferredEXPERIENCE* Three years of related experience in a manufacturing environment (machine operations preferred); or equivalent combination of education and experience* Working experience with FANUC robotics and/or PLC preferredSKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS* Ability to pass physical exam for use of respirators and Pyro suit.* Must complete Pyro Suit certification within 30 days of job acceptance.* Excellent computer operating skills* Proficiency with Microsoft Office* Critical/analytical thinking ability* Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and process specifications.* Strong communication skillsPHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to handle energetic and non-energetic material.* The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.
