Here's what we need:
We're looking for a creative, tech-savvy eLearning instructional designer to join our Learning and Development Team. Must be passionate about developing engaging and innovative training materials including eLearning courses, simulations and job aids that make learning “Damn Good”. Strong technology and content development skills are a must, as is a sense of humor and desire to be Damn Good. This position reports to our Director of Learning and Development.
What you'll be doing:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, assess needs and determine the best performance improvement solutions
- Lead and manage the instructional design process for new and revised learning content and experiences and assure that courses adhere to content and platform standards.
- Design and develop innovative and engaging learning content to effectively and efficiently trains team members via our cloud-based LMS system, creating a Damn Good learning experience
- Design testing and assessments for training programs and workshops
- Establish and drive adoption of tools across organization by partnering with key stakeholders
- Review, evaluate, and revise training programs by analyzing, recommending, and implementing process improvements
QUE-SO…here's what you'll need:
- A minimum of 5-10 years of instructional design experience with distance learning, blended learning, e-learning focus.
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design, graphic design, learning technologies, (or related fields) preferred
- Past experience conducting needs assessments with learning audiences and business leaders
- Proven use of training methodologies and adult learning theory
- Past experience developing and maintaining rapid eLearning materials for deployment across geographically dispersed locations
- Ability to edit, write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
- Solid knowledge of course development software, SCORM and at least one Learning Management System
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline, Captivate, web design tools, with experience developing highly interactive materials
- Proficient in media production tools and processes including video and photography
- Project Management experience a plus
- Experience in the hospitality industry a plus
- Working knowledge of HTML, Javascript, CSS, and Python a plus
