Job Summary/Purpose:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to administrative duties supporting the Production Manager. The production coordinator will operate along the lines of standard work as determined by production leadership and must be flexible to change as we run the business while we are transforming the business.
Essential Responsibilities
- Support production with the implementation of lean projects and process improvements
- Assist Trio's (Process Owners, CI Leads and Maintenance Leads) with all KHMS & CI projects (KAIZEN, Line Balancing, 5s, MUV improvement) as needed
- Responsible for sauce kitchen team and porter teams
- Back up for Team Leaders as needed
- Work with Safety Trainer to assist with LOTO training when needed to ensure accuracy of training within department.
- Attend daily Level 1, Level 2 and DPM meetings to identify variations within the process
- Work with team to continue Defect Handling development and standard alignment
- Available to work Monday through Friday-Possible overtime and weekends as needed
- Assists with production administrative duties as needed
- Collaborates with leadership to simplify and streamline complex processes
- Coordinate weekly meetings with Closers and Team Leads to assess production KPIs
- Must be flexible to work any shift.
- Available to work Monday through Friday, possible overtime and weekends as needed
- Role model for all Massillon safety policies and procedures, advancing safety culture daily
- Escalate any emergency circumstance with appropriate staff member immediately
- Makes verbal and/or written recommendations to supervisor or manager concerning a problem or issue
- Coordinates weekly with leadership to report out and look ahead
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree in business preferred or equivalent education and experience.
- Two (2) to five (5) years production experience preferred, some basic knowledge of food safety.
- Ability to multitask and work in a team oriented fast-paced environment
General Requirements
- Leadership experience and demonstration of sound leadership principles
- Must possess strong organizational skills and ability to implement processes
- Good oral/written communication skills
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Work extremely well with others, understanding and executing sound leadership principles
- Must be able to transfer knowledge of all plant policies, operations, and necessary equipment
- Must be able to train, certify, and re-certify all employees in the area assigned
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
- Ability to use hands/arms to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls
- Ability to work in all areas of the facility including hot and cold areas
- Ability to lift and or move up to 50 lbs. or more
- Adhere to all GMP'S and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies
- Flexible work schedule to assist Trio's when required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to simplify complex process
