The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Prevention Specialist (TERM), (GS-0101-11) to serve as at the 301st Fighter Wing (FW), Installation Integrated Resilience Office (IRO)(CDS), Naval Air Station (NAS) Joint Reserve Base (JRB) Fort Worth, Texas.

Salary: $78,820 – 102,463 based on experience.

This is a TERM Position not to exceed (NTE) 1 April 2026.

Qualifications/Requirements:In this position, your major responsibilities include completion of administrative functions, budget execution, and implementation of primary prevention education and training for the total base population. Also works collaboratively with installation Integrated Resilience Office (IRO) partners to coordinate and integrate prevention activities to effectively prevent negative outcomes associated with sexual assault and harassment, family violence (incl. intimate partner violence and child abuse and neglect), workplace violence (incl. harassment, bullying and hazing), suicide, and alcohol abuse/misuse prevention, hereafter referred to as self-directed harm and prohibited abusive or harmful acts.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must be able to obtain & maintain a “Secret” Security clearance.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required credentials for the position.

Incumbent must meet screening/suitability criteria.

Given the sensitivity of the position, a criminal background check must be completed.

Degree: At least a bachelor's degree in a behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

OR

Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

OR

Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

Comprehensive and professional knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies as well as behavioral, social science and/or public health practices principles and theories relating to the prevention of violence.

Thorough knowledge of a wide range of delivery systems relating to violence prevention and the multiple uses of such systems.

Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.

Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents, such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.

HIGHLY DESIRED:Knowledge and experience within primary prevention
