Apply Now!• These positions are TERM positions NOT to exceed varies from 15 to 31 months but may be extended or lead to permanent positions.• Up to 60% telework possible. • Up to 75% Travel possible • Retiring or retired members of the Armed Forces to positions in any DoD Component during the 180 days immediately following retirement may only be made in accordance with DoDI 1402.01 and may require a waiver for appointment prior to the 180 days from official military retirement.This position has a typical 2024 salary range of $104,887 - $136,357 (includes locality).Qualifications/Requirements: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior professional for the Facility Engineering (CF) Directorate, Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), a Field Operating Agency (FOA). Performs facilities engineering program and project management for segments of a variety of CF programs and funding sources for US and host nations to include Military Construction Program (MILCON); Military Family Housing (MFH); Nonappropriated Funds (NAF) Program; Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC); Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization Demolition (SRM-D). As an AFCEC Project Manager (PM), executes projects for substantial new construction, renovations, and improvements for real property facilities, encompassing highly specialized or unique requirements, in accordance with all DoD, Air Force, international agreements, and applicable host nation laws and regulations. Collaborates with engineers, scientists, and other expert personnel at federal agencies, higher headquarters (HQ USAF, AF MAJCOMs, and FOAs) installation organizations, host nation agencies, other military services, and private organizations to ensure effective identification, evaluation, and provide a unique solution to complex engineering project management issues. Provides resource management support. Provides technical expertise to activities, staff, installations, and other organizations in order to resolve difficult/unusual facilities planning, design, construction, and/or maintenance problems/issues. Communicates critical issues to staff agencies, installations and superiors.• U.S. Citizenship.• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.• May occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.• Incumbent is required to file an OGE-450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report , upon appointment, and annually thereafter in accordance with DODD 5500.7.RECRUITMENT KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA):• Professional knowledge of a wide range of engineering or architectural theories, concepts, principles, practices, techniques and methods to apply advanced concepts and principles to building design, construction processes, and project management.• Thorough knowledge of design/construction standards, methods, practices, techniques, materials, and contracting procedures relevant to executing assigned contracts/projects. Knowledge of current U.S. laws and regulations, as they pertain to Facility Engineering. Knowledge of standard programming, budget, and funding processes.• Ability to forecast, develop, and evaluate resource requirements pertaining to assigned project(s), and develop concise written technical information appropriate for any specific audience.OTHER REQUIREMENTS/SIGNIFICANT FACTS:For General Engineer (0801), Civil Engineer (0810), Mechanical Engineer (0830), Electrical Engineer (0850): Degree: Engineering.
