Job Description :

The Quality Control Assistant helps ensure that the product meets quality standards. Primary Duties Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SWR employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies. Make samples of corrugated boxes Identify and select board grades Prepare box specifications Physically make up sample boxes from specs Adhere to machine limitations Record keeping and filing as necessary Meet time schedules on projects with possible overtime involved Help maintain good housekeeping in the department Prepare samples for testing according to established standards and procedures Conduct paper and combined board tests according to established standards and procedures Become proficient in computer entry of test results Prepare test reports for Sales Representatives, production personnel, and customers Assist in internal and external quality audits Special projects as assigned All other duties as assigned Job Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Personable to the effect he/she will be dealing with Sales Representatives, production personnel, and customers. Able to work overtime when needed, including evenings and Saturdays Adaptable to schedule and work changes due to new priorities Communication skills necessary to deal with a variety of people and situations Lift and move corrugated sheets as necessary.
