Description:
The Service Advisor will be responsible for scheduling appointments, helping customers with their automotive needs and will act as the liaison between the customer and the technician. The person in this role will float between the various store locations.
Other job duties are as follows:
- Ensure paperwork is prepared for technicians immediately
- Ensure all paperwork is properly filled out, updated, completed, and closed according to McMahon Tire and customer standards; mileage, hours, unit #, PO, etc.
- Answer phones and greet and assist customers in a respectful and timely manner.
- Operate point of sale system to create work orders and invoice customers in a timely and efficient manner
- Compute sales prices, total purchases, and process payments
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, policies regarding payment, exchanges and returns, and security practices
- Open and close cash registers, including counting money, balancing drawers, and making deposits
- Generate computer bills
- Clean shelves, counters, and tables
- Will act as a fill-in at our other retail locations as needed
- Meet the requirements outlined in the company's employee handbook
- Other duties as needed
Requirements:
- Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
- Ability to consistently follow store policies and procedures.
- Ability to read and complete instructions.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.
- Team-Player: Works well as a member of a group.
- Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving history.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Lifting: Occasional lifting over 10 pounds
- Occasional squatting, bending, and twisting.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Environment: Temperatures range depending on the season.
Compensation details: 19-23 Hourly Wage
