Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Transformer Assembler - 2nd shift.The hourly rate for this position is $17.50 per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you'll do:Job SummaryResponsible for performing the final assembly operations of electricity transformers according to prescribed standard methods and procedures.
Job Responsibilities• Perform tasks across various work centers, including Tank-up, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, cover bander, palletizing, and final assembly. • Attach and install critical component parts and sub-assemblies to transformer tanks (e.g., leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, arrestors, labels, stencils, bands, etc.).• Anchor core/coil assemblies into tanks, ensuring precision and quality.• Execute various hand assembly, fitting, and adjusting operations with meticulous attention to detail.• Retrieve, assemble, and securely attach covers, maintaining consistent standards.• Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system efficiently.• Follow written communications, including operating instructions (VOP), PIC lists, production schedules, and JSA.• Use small power hand tools as required, demonstrating proficiency and safety awareness.• Expertly rework nonconforming parts and products to meet quality standards.• Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility. • Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.• Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.• Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.• Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
Qualifications:• No education required • Relevant experience preferred.
Technical knowledge• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions as required.
Physical Requirements • Lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without accommodations.
Environmental Factors• Adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as outlined below:
