This position supports our organization during peak periods by managing and responding to data subject access requests (DSAR) in accordance with privacy regulations such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data privacy laws, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.Key Responsibilities:•Review and Process DSARs: Accurately handle and respond to DSARs, including requests for data access, rectification, erasure, and portability, within legal timeframes.•Documentation & Compliance: Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal procedures and legal requirements for every DSAR request.•Data Retrieval & Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., IT, Legal, and Compliance) to retrieve, review, and deliver requested data securely and efficiently.•Risk Assessment: Identify and escalate any potential risks or complex issues related to DSARs to the appropriate stakeholders.•Communication: Professionally communicate with data subjects to confirm receipt of requests, provide status updates, and deliver requested information.•Continuous Improvement: Assist in developing and improving DSAR handling processes, templates, and best practices to streamline operations.•Regulation Awareness: Stay up to date with changes in data privacy regulations and ensure that responses are aligned with the latest requirements.Qualifications:•Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field, Business, Information Technology, or related field preferred.•Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in privacy compliance, DSAR processing, or data privacy operations. Experience in a fast-paced or seasonal role is a plus.•Knowledge: Familiarity with GDPR, GLBA, CCPA, and other global data protection regulations.•Technical Skills: Proficiency in data management tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and privacy management platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc).•Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive inquiries professionally.•Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple requests simultaneously.Job Conditions:•Seasonal Nature: This is a temporary role to support increased DSAR volumes during peak periods.
