New Pay Rates Effective Immediately!!$17/hrHours: 2:30pm - 6:30pm or 3:30pm - 6:30pmGreat PT position for after school hours! Therapeutic Aide Responsibilities:Our therapeutic after school program serves children and adolescents/young adults with a diagnosis of Autism in both the on-campus program setting and community settings. The therapeutic aide provides support to the lead clinician through implementing behavioral interventions, facilitating small group activities and maintaining accurate documentation of progress on treatment goals.The therapeutic aide is also considered an essential team member; they will participate in mandatory monthly trainings and supervision, facilitated by the lead clinicians and/or program supervisors. There is the opportunity for additional responsibilities depending on program need.Education/Training Skill(s): Qualified individuals will be able to meet ONE of the following criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (ex. Social work, psychology, special education, etc.)
  • Associate's degree in related human services field, or 60 credits toward degree
  • High School diploma and completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List
  • Board certified assistant behavior analyst certification (BCBA)
  • Board certified autism technician (BCAT) certification
  • Certification as an RBT
  • Experience: Minimum of one-year experience working with children with Autism, and/or one year of experience working with children/adolescents in the provision of behavioral health services; two (2) years' experience in the provision of behavioral health services preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Must have adequate mobility that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching (vertical and horizontal), using fingers, hands, feet, legs and torso in providing various care. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to work flexible hours as determined by program needs
  • Satisfactory completion of post-offer pre-employment physical exam and drug test required
  • Completion and clearance of criminal background check, child abuse clearance and FBI Clearance
  • Valid driver's license with a clear three-year driving record/MVR Report
  • Demonstrates knowledge and implementation of CASSP principles
  • Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Conduct in the performance of their duties
  • Ability to file Childline reports as mandated by the Child Protective Service Law. Complete required documentation for the Managed Care Company and agency
  • Engages in professional demeanor as a representative of Indian Creek Foundation
  • Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Compliance in the performance of their duties.
Essential Duties:
  • Works all authorized hours in accordance with group program schedule
  • Proficient interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to maintain composure, use critical-thinking skills, and compassionate and appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations
  • Talent to implement behavioral interventions set forth in each individual's treatment plan
  • Assist Lead Clinician with facilitation of small group activities with youth and young adults
  • Collaborates with treatment team members in the development of goals and interventions
    • Provides accurate, clear documentation on progress notes for each session
    • Completes data collection at each session to assist in determining levels of progress
    • Participates in mandatory training and supervision
    • Maintains communication with treatment team to report obstacles, progress and/or concerns about treatment
    • Monitors adequate staff to child ratio in program area
    • Drives children/adolescents to and from community events after successful completion of the Indian Creek Behind the Wheel driving course
