The Maintenance Technician will be directly responsible for maintaining and servicing all plant equipment and buildings.This is a Monday-Friday opportunity with a schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report any factors that may influence the quality and safety of the finished feed and ingredients to the immediate supervisor
- Can install circuit breakers, starters, panels, run conduit and make hook-ups with little or no supervision
- Know and be able to repair all mill equipment with little or no supervision
- Can trouble shoot all electrical equipment in plant and repair same, up to and including 480 volts
- Thorough knowledge of all electrical supply circuits
- Have good welding skills and good proficiency with an oxygen acetylene torch
- Do both installation and repair of normal pipe runs
- Able to read and work with blueprints, drawings sketches and schematics
- Have a complete and thorough knowledge of all mill flows, processes, and equipment, all electrical systems, all parts inventories and sources
- Be able to train less experienced electricians
- Fill on call positions as assigned, during non-regular business hours
- Follow all KNG Guidelines and requirements of plant and company policies, all regulatory and certifying agencies
- Attend seminars and correspondence courses whenever possible to improve skill levels
- Be physically able to perform all tasks required, but no limited to climbing, lifting and carrying weights of 55 lbs or more
- Observe safe practices at all times
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of feed manufacturing and willingness to learn and grow
- Basic computer knowledge
- Understanding of feed mill equipment and layout
- Thorough understanding of cGMP'S.
- Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan
- Knowledge of FSMA
