Job Title: Assistant Project Manager - Plumbing & HVACLocation: Mount Vernon, NYDescription:As an Assistant Project Manager specializing in Plumbing & HVAC, reporting to the VP/Director of Mechanical Operations, you will play a vital role in managing large-scale commercial construction projects exceeding $50 million. You will oversee key project functions, including bid packages, sub-contractor involvement, procurement, and construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining positive client relationships.Key Responsibilities:Oversee bid packages to ensure accuracy and involvement of sub-contractors.Plan, organize, and staff key field positions through collaboration with department heads.Negotiate contracts with clients and maintain positive relationships while resolving disputes.Fully understand and manage project contracts.Monitor procurement logs and oversee progress on long lead items.Review subcontractor PCOs and prepare change order requests for the owner.Review RFI and submittal logs with Project Engineers.Maintain liaison with prime clients and A/E contacts to facilitate construction activities.Oversee on-site operations through administrative direction of the Superintendent, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.Represent the company in project meetings, assisting in labor negotiations and strategy meetings.Manage the financial aspects of contracts, including payments, equipment rentals, and income/expenses, while maintaining good client relationships.Monitor jobsite safety and address any deficiencies.Assist in preparing progress payments and obtaining necessary approvals.Develop and submit cash flow projections in collaboration with the Project Controller.Approve time and material rates as required.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.5+ years of relevant commercial construction experience on projects exceeding $50 million.Strong knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles, as well as accounting practices.Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.Proficiency in Primavera P-6, Bluebeam, and Procore is preferred.Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office applications.Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Compensation:Salary range: $135,000 to $185,000, depending on experience.Application Process:Interested candidates should email their resume to Alejandra at ...@bnwservices.com.
