Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Directs the maintenance programs and processes of the assigned plant to ensure timely and effective production.Coordinates with other management staff to ensure efficiency in preventative maintenance and new equipment installation.Oversees facilities design and inspection, equipment repair and installation.Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgetsOversees, manages and directs all maintenance procedures and operationsEnsures all machinery is up to working standardsAssesses current maintenance work processes, to optimize efficiencyUses data analysis to help prepare for and prevent future problemsCreates and implements measures to minimize breakdowns and repairs (performing quality checks of all machinery, tools, equipment etc.)Troubleshoots problem areas and creates a clear plan of action for fixing necessary partsOversees repairs and trains new employees in maintenance work processes and proceduresCreates a work environment with safety as a high priorityPerforms evaluations of employees to ensure quality of workRecords and tracks daily progress/error reportsMaintains vendor relationships and order new materials as neededCreates and adheres to maintenance budgetsEnforces all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, administration or facility managementBilingual English-Spanish5+ years' experience in manufacturing maintenance management roleStrong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systemsAbility to keep track of and report on activityExperience in planning maintenance operationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent leadership and management skillsOutstanding organizational and leadership abilitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with staff membersCompetent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
