The Department of Medical Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Department of Medicine of Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a hematologist/medical oncologist to attend on inpatient oncology teams supervising and teaching house staff and physician assistants. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in multidisciplinary and collaborative environments with interests in developing a professional focus in the field of quality improvement, operational efficiency, and education in the context of a major academic medical system. This opportunity offers initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes/safety, optimizing efficiency of patient progression through hospitalization, implementing new systems and processes, and establishing consistent standards of practice in the acute care oncology setting.
The successful applicant will become an active member of the Department of Medical Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DF/BWCC-Department of Medicine) and will be provided with mentorship aligned with their professional interests in solid and/or hematologic malignancies. Academic rank as Instructor or Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements.
