Position Purpose
- Plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes
- Maintain, support, and upgrade existing systems and applications
- Research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle
- Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments
Key Responsibilities - Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues
- Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
- Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization
- Train end users to operate new or modified programs
- Install software products for end users as required
- Assess and develop long-term strategic goals for production databases in conjunction with data owners and department managers
- Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues
- Monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements
- Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets
- Perform additional support functions as necessary to enable the IT Department to meet business requirements
Education, Experience and Skills - B.S. degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products
- 5+ years of Extensive experience in Infor Syteline technical development & admin areas
- 5+ years of Extensive experience in Infor Syteline functional areas
- Working knowledge in Industrial manufacturing business processes
- Working technical knowledge of current ERP programming languages.
- Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
- Working knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Practical knowledge in utilizing reporting tools to generate data to meet end user requirements, specifications, and report criteria, to include integration with 3rd party applications.
- Experience with core software applications and ERP Business Systems.
