IDEAL Workforce Program Coordinator at Battelle Energy Alliance dba Idaho National Labora in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a IDEAL Workforce Program Coordinator to work in our IDEAL Workforce department. Our team works a 980 schedule located out of our REC facility with every other Friday off. You will report to the Senior Manager over the IDEAL Workforce Programs Office. National and Homeland Security Directorate is looking for a team member to assist with workforce development initiatives to optimize and coordinate internships and fellowships in addition to several programs, initiatives and development activities for the N&HS Directorate as well as interface with other lab areas including the Talent Acquisition, Research Excellence and other directorates with related mission goals. Responsibilities Include: As an individual contributor N&HS IDEAL Workforce Program Development: Establish and maintain relationships with INL, N&HS department managers to increase overall participation in IDEAL Workforce activities Mentor: Engage with project and department managers to help identify mentors; support mentors through the complete internship and fellowship experience, throughout the Release, Return, Extend, or Hire (RREH) process. Internship/Fellowships: Coordinate intern and fellow selection, placements, engagements; oversee intern and fellow experiences for programs within N&HS from selection and onboarding throughout the RREH process. Enrichments: Facilitate inclusive enrichment activities for interns, fellows, and mentors focused on important areas of developmental interest within N&SH as identified by the IDEAL Workforce Program Manager and Division Directors, may partner with Talent Acquisition (TA) staff, Research Excellence (RE) and K-12 to align activities. Data: Develop intern and mentor reporting and tracking methods; use software tools to appropriately to implementing the RREH process for assigned work group, respond to ad hoc data requests and support program and project reporting. Support university collaboration and outreach; socialize N&HS opportunities with appropriate contacts and encouraging participation in N&HS outreach events, IDEAL University Days, TA engagements. Communications Coordination: Coordinate with N&HS staff to create inclusive material that showcases the IDEAL Workforce Programs department, internship programs, engagements opportunities; develop and distribute quarterly newsletter along with IDEAL team members; and other materials to facilitate job responsibilities. Conduct independent research on specific mission areas and establish correlations to universities, majors, and degree programs. Build positive connections with peers, including excellent communication, conflict resolution, and team building skills. Support the N&HS Capstone and Joint Appointment programs. This position closes on: 10/2/24 Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 2-5 relevant years or a Masters degree 0-2 relevant years; or in lieu of degree 8-11 years relevant experience. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy 'Q' clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Experience with internships and fellowships at US national laboratories, universities, military, or federal agencies. Experience effectively working and communicate with people from various careers, majors, educational levels and diverse backgrounds. Experience with workforce development type engagements with universities, including HBCUs and MSIs, military programs and underrepresented professional societies that encourage and support IDEAL philosophies. Knowledge of military programs such as DoD Skillbridge, DoD-STEM, Military Fellows Program and Hiring Our Heroes. Knowledge of data collection, sorting and processing systems, managing files and records, designing forms and presentation material, and workforce terminology. The ideal candidate will possess: Knowledge and an understanding of hiring and onboarding processes. Knowledge of INL National & Homeland Security missions, specifically Nuclear Nonproliferation, Defense Systems, Critical Infrastructure. Job Information: The pay range for this position is: Level 2 ($63,528 - $130,284) / Level 3 ($75,804 - $155,496). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
