Job SummaryThis position will be assigned to the Career & Adult Learning Services Department, with the assignment beginning in January 2025. This temporary position will support the Building Trades Pre-Apprenticeship Program (BTPA) located at Rountree Corrections Facility in Watsonville. The anticipated schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, hours: 10:00 a.m to 3:30 p.m.Requirements / QualificationsApplication Procedures: This is an on-call/temporary position. Applications will be continuously screened. Applicants must submit a completed application and are encouraged to attach a rsum. The department will host interviews once onboarding is completed. If selected, fingerprinting is required. You will need to supply our office with a negative (tuberculosis) PPD skin test clearance. The certificate is good for a four-year period. You can have the test done through the Santa Cruz Health Department, Doctors on Duty Clinic or by calling a physician or a clinic of your choice. Selected applicants will have to onboard with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office separately.Comments and Other InformationBenefits: No benefits are offered with this position. On-call/temporary workers do not receive vacation but do receive sick as defined under AB 1522/SB 616.
