Fast paced production environment with jobs available now that include general labor, small part assembly, machining, and assembly line positions. No experience needed, all training provided. LKQ Bellingham remanufactures gasoline engines for passenger car and light trucks. No engine experience needed for most positions. Available positions may include parts handling, disassembly, cleaning, small part machining or assembly, engine component machining, cylinder head assembly, engine assembly, engine testing, and engine packaging. They check for defects, assemble products, monitor manufacturing equipment, and closely follow safety procedures to prevent accidents in environments where materials may be hazardous.Essential Job Duties
- Operate production equipment
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Use of hand and power tools
- Store products and materials
- Meet the deadlines of individual production tasks during shift
- Report on defective products or machinery
- Check stock levels and report deficiencies in products or raw materials
- Keep the worksite clean to avoid hazards from chemicals and fragile products
- Review and follow standard work instructions
- Transfer equipment manually or with a hoist
- Follow the company's safety and quality guidelines
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Move up to 50lbs
- Repeatedly stand, squat, bend, and lift for long periods of time
- Exposure to extreme temperatures and high noise levels requiring PPE
Required Skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to communicate and read in English
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Situational flexibility
- Able to work weekdays 6:00am-2:30pm with weekends/overtime as required
- Swing shift 3:00pm -11:30pm with weekends/overtime as required
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Mechanical mindset and basic automotive knowledge preferred
