Position Summary: As the Branch Manager for Granite City Electric Supply in Methuen, MA you will manage the overall operation of the store in accordance with Company policies and procedures. You will ensure high levels of customer service satisfaction and that customers receive value-add services in a timely and professional manner. In addition, you will create a competitive advantage and be held accountable for the financial performance of the branch. Essential Functions:
  • Proactively manages and develops accounts in the area to maximize sales.
  • Train, supervise and coach employees in products, procedures and selling skills and facilitate development of their potential.
  • Delegates and assigns duties as necessary for the smooth and efficient running of the facility/general maintenance.
  • Responsible for inventory control.
  • Keeps employees informed and up to date about the Company, product and code changes, local trends and the economic situations that effect the industry.
  • Provides customer quotations and product information as requested.
  • Promote teamwork and interdepartmental cooperation.
  • Analyzes situations, identifies problems, evaluates alternative courses of action.
  • Demonstrates emphasis on improving quality of staff and systems.
  • Gives and receives feedback and evaluation as an improvement tool.
  • Sets measurable goals and evaluates achievement of those goals.
  • P & L responsibility.
Position Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years in a sales/supervisory capacity is a must, preferably at an electrical distributor.
  • Business, construction and/or electrical industry exposure is a must.
  • Flexible and adaptable to business needs and conditions.
  • Possess and demonstrate effective leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion to continually improve processes and relationships.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and the ability to use an ERP.
Education and/or Experience:
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent proven experience is required for the position.
