Job Title: Operations Coordinator

Job Description

Operations experience in the cruise industry or experience in management and fleet movement will have an easy grasp on what our Operations Coordinators do. Quality control through the accurate reporting of data to supplierseither confirming services or passenger numbers or through accurate information on manifests and emails. Control costs through managing confirmed services. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

Hard Skills

+ One year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

+ Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization

+ Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportion, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

+ Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

+ Proficiency in: Database Software, Internet Software, Inventory Software, Project Management Software, Spreadsheet Software, Word Processing Software, Electronic Mail Software, In-house Reservation Software

+ Advance spreadsheet and computer skills

+ Operations experience required

+ At least one year of experience required

Soft Skills

+ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

+ Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

+ Knowledge of geography and international traveling coordination is helpful

+ Ability to analyze the risk, benefit, and impact of decision on the present and future business environment prior to taking action

+ Ability to look at situations from several points of view

+ Ability to work with internal and external executives

+ Demonstrable competence in team building, development of objectives and goals, and goal accomplishment

+ Exceptionally strong leadership and management capabilities

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Calabasas, California.

Work Environment

Working in the Operations department under the Operations Supervisor, with the Manager. Team of about 8-12 Operations personnel and will work regularly with the majority of them. Will work closely with the Reservations (Group/FIT) Department Coordinator of all land-related requests/activities. Ensures all custom/special requests are met. May require some travel on an as-needed basis.
