This individual demonstrates excellent clinical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and leadership skills, and makes decisions consistent with the organization's policies, department protocols and guidelines to achieve high-quality, inclusive, equitable, culturally and linguistically appropriate care in a cost-effective, patient centered manner.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONFor positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.Minimum Required: Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification, and successful completed documentation of the following courses (or their equivalent):
- Medical Terminology
- Anatomy & Physiology or Body Structure & Function or Human Body in Health & Disease
- Pharmacology
Preferred/Optional: Licensed Practical Nurse license awarded by the State of Wisconsin, or Phlebotomy Technician in addition to the minimum required.EXPERIENCEMinimum Required: Two years of experience as a Medical Assistant AND completion of the three core classes within Twelve months of hire.Preferred/Optional: Experience in primary care in outpatient setting. Bilingual English/Spanish.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSESThe following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.
