[Position Overview: [Pipe Ship Associate is responsible for all aspects of the pipe shop including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of pipe/product for customer delivery while maintaining the pipe shop in a safe and orderly fashion.[Essential Job Functions]{trebuchet= ms ,sans-serif = }]{trebuchet= ms ,sans-serif = }]{trebuchet= ms ,sans-serif = }Exhibit a positive, friendly and helpful attitude with customers and vendors and be sensitive to their needsComplete stock rotation of pipe. (See the Operation Manual.)Maintains and follow an organized process for retrieving and sending material certsSelect appropriate merchandise from stock to fulfill ordersReceive all deliveries within 1 day. Returns (RMA) within 5 days.Prepare merchandise for customer transportationMaintain pipe shop area in an orderly and clean manner and provide suggestions for improving overall pipe shop operationsComplete inventory cycle counts and spot counts as assignedAssist and resolve customer complaintsContinual learning of the products and applications within our industryAssist in warehouse as needed and directed by supervisorsContinued cross-training with the various warehouse functionsAttendance and participation at department meetings and vendor training sessionsIdentifies safety issues and problems; reports or corrects unsafe working conditions and safety problems; checks equipment and work area regularlyGreet customers with a positive attitude when entering the Pipe ShopAny additional tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or other leadership[Requirements/Skills/Abilities]{trebuchet= ms ,sans-serif = }High School Graduate or equivalentMust be 18 years of age or olderMust be able to work in seasonally hot or cold environmentsBe able to demonstrate essential customer service and communication skillsMust be able to perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurate complete job functionsProduct and application knowledgeAbility to operate Material Handling equipment (Overhead crane and Forklift)Ability to operate band saw, circular saw and pipe threaderMust be able to utilize PC and RF scanner for tracking movement of inventoryMust be able to lift up to 70 lbsMust understand the location of product within the pipe shopMust be able to work independently in a fast pace, rapidly changing environment.
