Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Ice Industries Louisiana21095 South Frontage RdLacassine, LA 70650General Job Function: The Maintenance Technician will perform various tasks associated with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the roll form machines. The main goal of our Maintenance Technicians is to work as a team, minimizing production downtime by proactively working to maintain the roll forming machines and tooling. The Maintenance Technician will be required to troubleshoot and respond to quality issues, and machine, and system failures.Job Responsibilities & Duties:Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, maintain, and rebuild roll form machinery, tooling, and ancillary equipment throughout the plant.Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the machine and equipment's ability to produce quality parts safely and efficiently.Read blueprints and accurately set and pin rolls to CAD data providedLayout rolls for grinding to grind to within specified tolerances accuratelyAssist with design changes for all roll forming machines and ancillary equipmentPerforms other incidental and related duties as required and assigned, including projects or assignments to support the plant.Working Conditions: The Roll Form Maintenance Technician is a safety-sensitive position working directly with machinery and equipment. Frequent exposure to a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment where ambient air temperature can occasionally exceed outside air temperature.Must be able to bend at the waist and knees, walk, and stand for extended periods.Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds when necessary.Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl under or over, and frequently climb (stairs).Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.Capable of working in confined spaces and off the ground with height variancesMust be flexible and able to change schedule and hours of work to meet the needs of the organizationRequired Education, Experience & Skills:Education: A High School diploma or equivalent is required.Completion of trade school, journeyman's program, or formal training as a Maintenance Technician.Work Experience: At least two years of experience as an Industrial Maintenace TechnicianHands-on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics experience in a roll forming or metal stamping manufacturing environment preferredCandidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Technical Skills: Understanding mechanical, air, hydraulic, and other systems, working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.Knowledgeable and hands-on experience in working with basic electric 110/220/480 voltAble to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics, blueprints, technical procedures, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide inches and pounds, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Organizational & Communication Skills: Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and effectivelyAbility to self-motivate, problem-solve, and work in a dynamic environmentAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to work with and communicate effectively with all levels within the organizationGood verbal and written communication skills
