Homewatch CareGivers - Windsor has an opening for a compassionate 24-Hour Live-in Caregiver (CNA, HHA, PCA, or another experienced caregiver) to provide assistance to a client in their home. If hired, you will enjoy making a difference in the health and well-being of your client(s) by providing companionship, assistance with tasks in the home, and providing hands-on care with daily hygiene, transfers, and other activities of daily living.
Current Openings:
- We are currently seeking several live-in caregivers to work with our clients in Hartford & Tolland Counties
- Most of our cases are 3 to 4 days in a row and are available with male and female clients; however, each of these clients has requested female live-in caregivers. At this time we do not have permanent live-in cases for male caregivers, however, if you are interested in being contacted for future positions, please feel free to apply.
- We also have additional short-term and fill-in shifts available throughout Hartford County and Tolland County in Connecticut that may be shorter or longer than our standard length live-ins
Schedule:
Live-in caregivers remain at their client's home for several consecutive days with the same schedule typically being repeated each week. Each 24-hour day is divided as follows:
- 13 hours allotted for providing care to the client
- 8 hours allotted for sleep
- 3 hours allotted for personal time (breaks)

Each client is unique and job responsibilities vary according to the needs of the client. Common responsibilities include:
- Assist with personal hygiene, transfers, and ambulation.
- Provide homemaking including meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes.
- Provide personalized care and companionship.
- Medication reminders
- Monitor, record, and report changes to health and well-being.
- Accompany to appointments and other activities outside the home
