To learn more about Berry, visit berryglobal.comResponsibilitiesInstall and remove molds, plates, and equipment necessary for injection molding machines. Safely perform tip burns to improve color changeover. Under supervision perform a variety of routine work within established policies and procedures, and receives detailed instructions on new projects and assignments.Follow all safety rules and procedures.Follow all ISO, GMP, and Food Packaging requirements and standard operating procedures.Maintain a clean and safe working area in all Mold Setter areas.Wear the proper PPE required for the tasks being performed.Perform a visual safety inspection of overhead hoists before using.Perform visual safety inspection of all tools, ladders and fall protection devices before using.Complete mold and plate changes according to schedule.Remove/install mold/plates/components for repair.Inspect and repair mold water/air hoses.Install/remove accessory equipment on machine. Example: thermolaters, logic seals, portable chillers, and conveyors.Safely perform mold changes and complete form SARFCD-0119.Safely burn tips when required.Maintain inventory of spare parts to make new water, air hoses.Safely assist with PM and work conveying equipment when needed.Adhere to all Company and Departmental procedures.Assist in training as needed.Responsibilities include the above; but not limited to the above.Communicate with relieving mold setters of any issues that were encountered throughout the shift and customer specifications on the current order.Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned.Assist Process Technicians with qualification at start up and color changes.Relieve operators for assigned breaks.Operate all product packaging equipment.Pack product according to customer specification.Properly identify product and documentation.Continually inspect product during packagingQualificationsWorking knowledge of ISO, GMPs, SQFAbility to substitute for Molding InspectorHandle/ Rework person and Utility personForklift and Crane OperationLifting weights up to 50 poounds: capable of pushing/ pulling up to 1500 pounds assisted with mechanical apparatusRepetitive motion, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, pushing, pulling, liftingWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
