POSITION PURPOSE:
The Local Service Representative drives customer support activities and is the front line of contact for local customers. They are responsible for managing, maintaining and owning customer relationships. They ensure issues are addressed, needs are met, and clients are satisfied.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively build, grow and expand customer accounts.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain lasting relationships with clients.
- Aggressive drive retention and growth (upsell) with existing client base.
- Assertive in identifying new sales leads and opportunities within the region to add new customers.
- Consult face-to-face with local clients and be the face to the company for the client.
- Develop a deep understanding of local customers and their needs as well as competitive climate.
- Determine account level and territory plan to achieve sales goals.
- Achieve annual price increase targets as defined by the business.
- Develop proposals, collaborate with Reddy Ice leadership on sales opportunities, negotiate terms and conditions, and implement contracts and ensure customer satisfaction and maximized financial results.
- Partner with National Account Executives, Regional Account Executives, Regional VP and Market Managers to maintain key accounts within the region and between regions.
- Provide critical local market feedback to National Account Executives and Regional Account Executives.
- Coordinates with plant to service multi location within regional accounts.
- Support strategic account acquisition program within the region (blitz, etc.).
- Complete and update annual sales plans and account specific activities in Sugar as part of sales technology/reporting platform. 100% compliance is required.
- Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals
- Proven prospecting and cold calling experience
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Effective communication and client presentation skills
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- At times travel is extremely heavy and could average up to 60% by car and/or air. A valid drivers license and acceptable MVR is required.
- Local Sales Representatives use their own vehicles and are reimbursed with a fixed monthly fee for depreciation and auto insurance, and a per-mile variable fee for fuel and maintenance.
- Home based office, generally sedentary position using computers, calculators, phones, and other office equipment.
- This position works in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment. The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships, and reason through complex business situations is essential.
