Position Type: SubstituteDate Posted: 7/8/2024Location: District Office--Substitute ServicesDate Available: 07/08/2024 Kern High School District is hiring substitutes on an AS NEEDED BASIS, applications will be accepted periodically for the following Substitute Classifications: THE FOLLOWING ARE REQUIRED AND MUST BE SUBMITTED:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Certification of District Proficiency in areas of Reading, Writing, and Mathematics by Passing the District Proficiency Exam
- One of the following may be submitted in place of the District Proficiency Certificate:
- Proof of passing Proficiency Exam from any district
- AA Degree or higher
- At least 48 college units
- Passing CBEST (California Basic Education Skills Test)
You will need to meet the following clearances: Fingerprint clearance (FBI and DOJ background check) ***Some classifications do require passing a pre-employment physcial (provided by KHSD) in addition to special training Verification of Freedom from Tuberculosis (TB) which is valid for 4 years
