We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Representative to join our team in the beauty and fragrance industry. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing our client base, building strong relationships with key industry players, and driving sales efforts to meet company goals. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, stay ahead of market trends, and engage in strategic partnerships that will enhance our company's presence in the market.Key Responsibilities:1. Pre-call Preparation:
- Develop methods for brand, founder, sales, and sentiment analyses to support sales efforts.
- Conduct thorough post-call follow-ups, including preparing one-page note summaries and tracking progress through the sales funnel.
2. Relationship Cultivation:
- Assist team leaders in building and nurturing relationships with industry contacts and brand leaders.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with current and potential clients.
3. Data Management:
- Maintain and manage a funnel of leads using internal CRM systems and Google Sheets.
- Document lead profiles, follow-ups, conversation notes, and apply appropriate tags for future reference.
4. Lead Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular reports on lead progress and performance to management.
5. Strategic Partnerships:
- Collaborate with internal strategy teams, external brand leaders, and regional stakeholders to identify key categories and companies of interest.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and proactively engage with potential partners.
6. Market Intelligence & Research:
- Collect and analyze market and competitive intelligence through online tools and new business development activities.
- Identify new market opportunities and stay informed about emerging trends in the beauty and fragrance industry.
7. Lead Generation & Client Relationship Management:
- Proactively find and attract potential clients and partners.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
8. Sales Strategy & Negotiation:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed company targets.
- Lead contract negotiations and work to close deals successfully.
9. Product Development & Brand Positioning:
- Collaborate with product teams to refine and improve products or services based on client and market feedback.
- Contribute to the company's market presence and brand recognition efforts.
10. Sourcing & Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Assist in evolving and managing the sustainable sourcing process by identifying, screening, evaluating, and integrating target companies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to leverage data, manage leads, and close sales.
11. Presentation & Project Management:
- Draft pitch decks, presentations, and reference materials to support sales efforts.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and coordinating with both in-house and outsourced teams.
12. Visitor Assistance & Warehouse Tours:
- Assist visitors and clients during their visits, including leading warehouse tours.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, ideally within the beauty, fragrance, wellness, fashion, or adjacent industries.
- Strong understanding of the sales and sourcing process, including identification, screening, evaluation, and relationship building.
- Experience in targeting companies, developing business cases, conducting due diligence, and handling negotiations.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- High aptitude for learning and adapting to new environments and challenges.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
- Proficiency in office tools such as Outlook, Slack, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, and CRM systems (including Google Sheets).
- Experience in beauty, wellness, or related categories is a plus.
Compensation:
- Salary commensurate upon experience ($20.00-$28.00 per hour)
- Medical, dental, vision available on the first of the month after 60 days
- 401K available after 12mths in full time capacity
- PTO
- Under normal circumstances, approximate travel of 10-15% of the year
