Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance Manager at CSM in College Station, TX. The Finance Manager will be responsible for day-to-day financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. They will collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic decision-making and financial planning.
Qualifications
- Financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills
- Experience in financial operations and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Certification such as CFA, CPA, or MBA is a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present timely financial statements, reports, and analyses to management. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS).
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual budget process. Conduct variance analysis to compare budgeted figures to actual performance.
- Cost Accounting: Analyze manufacturing costs and recommend cost-saving measures. Monitor inventory levels and manage the valuation of inventory.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Audit Management: Coordinate and support internal and external audits. Prepare necessary documentation and address audit findings.
- Financial Planning: Assist in strategic planning and financial modeling for new projects and initiatives. Provide insights into financial implications of business decisions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with operational strategies. Communicate financial results and insights to executive leadership.
