At Elephant & Co., the dishwasher plays a key role in our scratch kitchen ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and that there is cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This position must-have weekend availability. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils using industrial dishwashing equipment or by hand, ensuring they are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
- Follows all safety and sanitation procedures
- Sort and stack dishes, utensils, and equipment in designated areas, organizing them efficiently and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Kitchen Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain dishwashing equipment regularly, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel for repairs or replacements
- Dispose of trash materials appropriately following waste management guidelines
- Assist kitchen staff in food preparation tasks when necessary
- Efficiently manage workload and prioritize tasks to meet operational demands, especially during peak service hours
- Maintains positive communication and promotes a respectful teamwork environment
