Job Title: Senior Director, Project Development
Location: New York (HQ) - Remote
Compensation: $150k - $175k (Negotiable depending on experience)
Bonus: 20% annual bonus
This company serves as a prominent marketplace for commercial solar solutions, facilitating connections between organizations and a network of solar energy providers who compete for their projects. Over recent years, the company has guided over $350 million in solar project investments across numerous states, providing procurement advisory for diverse clients, including commercial real estate owners, and non-profit organizations transitioning to solar energy. Clients benefit from access to a broad network of experienced solar developers who have collectively completed thousands of successful projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of comprehensive solar strategies for corporate and real estate clients, providing executive-level guidance on incorporating solar solutions across extensive property portfolios.
- Guide clients throughout the project development cycle, overseeing project qualification and conducting detailed analyses of energy data, property specifics, and relevant policies.
- Oversee solar RFPs, utilizing the company's solar procurement platform to analyze proposals, develop comparison tools, and advise clients on selecting suitable solar developers.
- Collaborate across departments to enhance and expand the company's service offerings, refining internal processes and strategies to better serve clients' needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in project development or project finance within Renewable Energy, Real Estate, Sustainability Consulting, or Management Consulting.
- Proven track record of successfully guiding corporate and real estate clients on solar projects.
- Strong client relationship and communication skills.
- Comfortable with regular travel.
- Comprehensive understanding of solar strategy, financing options, solar incentives, tax issues, and the challenges and opportunities typically encountered in commercial solar.
