JOB SUMMARY:
Greets and directs all visitors, including vendors. Provides administrative and clerical support to departments to ensure effective and productive workflow. Handles all incoming calls and performs general administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
- Answers, screens and forwards incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed; Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming and directing them appropriately; Notifies company personnel of visitor arrival; Directs visitors by maintaining employee and inter-departmental directories.
- Maintains security by following procedures and controlling access by monitoring logbook, issuing visitor badges, and granting access through secured entrances.
- Receives and sorts daily mail/deliveries/couriers.
- Handles in-house and online ticket book sales and/or fare media. Verifies and issues receipts for payment received; Records receipts on deposit register; Requests change for the change-fund as needed. Assists with fare reconciliation; Prepares and submits daily ticket sale reports.
- Provides assistance for customers who have lost items while using our transit services. Accepts found items from multiple sources and maintains a log; Accurately matches found items against claims; Arranges shipping or in-person return of items to customer.
- Assists with entering accounts payable receivers or issuing accounts receivable invoices.
- Performs other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, copying, collating, faxing, etc.
- Participates in Activities and Duties Related to Emergency Management During a Local State of Disaster as Directed by Appropriate County Managers.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years job related experience.
- Proven proficiency with both oral and written communication skills. Strong Excel, Microsoft Word, verbal and written communication. Organizational skills and the ability to complete multiple tasks a must. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials.
- English/Spanish speaking preferred
- Daily contact with co-workers, employees in other departments, and the public in writing, in person or on the telephone to provide service, exchange, interpret or explain information, and provide instructions; frequent contact with vendors, and outside agencies and/or organizations in person or on the telephone to interpret or explain information and exchange routine information.
SALARY RANGE: $15.00-$17.53 range per hour
CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
