Position Details Position Information Job Type Non-Faculty Position Title Recruiting Coordinator Position Number E00047 Department Career Development & Engagement Location Morehouse College - Atlanta, GA Position Summary This Recruiting Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating and performing coordinating/administrative functions in support of the Office of Career Development and Engagement (CDE) within the Division of Student Services. The position coordinates and performs a range of staff and operational support activities in helping to meet the goals and plans of the Office of Career Development and Engagement at Morehouse College. This position is expected to aid with the event planning, marketing, and promotion of all Career related events and other administrative and coordinating duties. Will collaborate with the Assistant Director & Data Resource Manager. Required QualificationsAssist in Employer Recruitment, Development and Relations by: • Assisting the Executive Director in developing and maintaining employer, alumni and graduate/professional relationships. • Calling and emailing employers to coordinate meetings with Career Development & Engagement (CDE). • Coordinates the hosting of employer information sessions and on-campus interviews and other career related development activities • Works with and assists Assistant Director in efforts to track and analyze the placement of Morehouse College graduates. • Maintains data analysis of Campus Recruiting and Information Session activities • Completes special projects and assignments as needed. • Updates all information and communications in software programs. • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Career Development and Engagement • Assists in scheduling and coordinating on campus interviews, career related meetings, information sessions, appointments, and/or other similar activities for Morehouse College (CDE) • Utilizes the Handshake Career Services Management (CSM) online system to manage career related interviews, schedules, student profiles and other activities as needed • Develops Social Media strategies to promote and advertise The Office of Career Development and Engagement (OCDE) Activities • Represents OCDE with the new Morehouse Online educational offering • Assists in developing strategies to deliver content related to The Maurice Washington Emerging Leaders Program • Works closely with OCDE Assistant Director in administering the FOCUS 2 Self Assessment Tool • Occasional Out of State Travel to conferences and OCDE Programs will be required Administrative / Student Support / Corporate Support: • Provides administrative support for the Executive Director of (CDE) and works with the OCDE Assistant Director and OCDE Recruiting Manager • Serves as the point of contact for (CDE), greet students, employers, staff and faculty; answer questions and take incoming phone calls. • Assists in requisition supplies, events/activities, printing, maintenance, and other services. Utilize Banner System • Performs word processing, spreadsheet development, mail merge documents, and other duties as required. • Participate in the following Signature Annual Events: - Career Leadership Institute (CLI) - Talent and Development Academy (TADA) - International Spring Tour - Spring Symposium - E.B. Williams Awards Banquet - New Student Orientation (NSO) - Maurice Washington Emerging Leaders Program /Banquet - Atlanta University Center Consortium Career Fair - Morehouse College Career Fair - Commencement Preferred Qualifications At least 3 - 5 years' experience in Career Services, Student Counseling, Human Resources, Student Services and/or Recruiting. In person position. Preferred Education/Experience Minimum bachelor's degree in student counseling, Business, STEM, Social Science or other related degree. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in Spreadsheet and presentation tools such as (Excel, Formstack, Google Drive, PowerPoint and Publisher) and Data Analytic knowledge
- Demonstrated professional use and expertise in Social Media strategies
