Position Overview: We are on the lookout for a dynamic and innovative Marketing Assistant to join our esteemed marketing team. In this pivotal role, the Marketing Assistant will serve as a key role in our efforts to execute strategic marketing initiatives and campaigns aimed at elevating our dealership's profile and enhancing brand recognition across our diverse portfolio of luxury automotive brands, including Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Kubota. A keen eye for detail and creativity will be paramount as the Marketing Assistant collaborates closely with our marketing team to ensure that all materials and campaigns align seamlessly with the distinct brand identities and standards set forth by each OEM. Upholding OEM brand standards is not only a matter of compliance but also a reflection of our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, as it ensures that every interaction with our brand conveys the utmost quality and professionalism. Moreover, the Marketing Assistant will need to embody a versatile skill set, adept at multitasking across various projects and initiatives simultaneously, while maintaining a proactive and can-do attitude in tackling challenges and driving results. From coordinating all social media channels, to updating online website content, building marketing materials, and assisting with event planning and execution, the Marketing Assistant will be at the forefront of our dealership's marketing efforts, contributing to our continued success and growth in the competitive automotive and equipment landscape. The position reports to our eCommerce & Marketing Director. The position is on-site and located in Edmond, OK at Mercedes-Benz of Oklahoma City.Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development and execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities to drive traffic to the dealership(s) and generate leads.
  • Coordinate the production of marketing materials, including print advertisements, brochures, flyers, signage, and digital assets such as website content, social media posts, and email newsletters.
  • Assist with website updates including SEO, content development, inventory management, specials, and other necessary updates.
  • Ability to adhere to OEM brand standards to stay in compliance with all applicable content and advertising efforts.
  • Assist with social media management, including creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments and messages.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination, including dealership events, sales promotions, and community outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including sales, service, parts, and finance, to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Assist with market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in the automotive market.
  • Support the marketing team with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, maintaining marketing calendars, and organizing files and documents.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in marketing and advertising, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Assist the sales team by conducting thorough analyses of vehicles lacking photographs and coordinating closely with the photography team to ensure prompt capture of images for all vehicles within our inventory.
  • Collaborate in crafting compelling vehicle descriptions that effectively showcase the myriad features and options available across our extensive new car inventory.
  • Assist in the development and deployment of CRM communication templates tailored to streamline and enhance the sales team's outreach efforts.
  • Taking photos and videos for social media accounts of our dealerships and vehicles (this will include occasionally driving dealership-owned vehicles).
  • Assist in internal communications and intranet management.
  • Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in marketing or related field, preferably in an automotive dealership or similar industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling marketing content and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions to marketing challenges.
  • Proficiency in using computerized systems and software, including Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and social media management tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter that can learn brand guidelines and adhere to them on all marketing content.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels and techniques, including social media, email marketing, and search engine optimization, preferred but not required.
  • Enthusiasm for the automotive industry and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Creativity and an eye for composition and visual appeal.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
