Position:We are looking for an Assembly Technician at our Longmont, CO location to facilitate the assembly of automated machinery and conveyor systems in a fast-paced environment. This position will involve both mechanical and electrical control disciplines. It may involve mechanical bench assembly one day, then it may involve wiring a controls panel the next. Limited travel is needed to support Service Technicians during equipment installation or troubleshooting.   • Mechanical assembly of automation systems to meet BPA and customer expectations.
  • Electrical assembly of automation systems to meet BPA and customer expectations.
  • Responsible for Aftermarket assembly.
  • Assist in the implementation of both 5S and KanBan
  • Periodic travel may be required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Must have some basic computer skills to open drawings and 3D models.
  • Demonstrated to ability follow instructions, make decisions, solve problems, and exercise good judgment and flexibility in an effort to maintain the schedule.
  • High result orientation and time sensitivity.
  • Electrical control wiring is preferred.
  • Ability to follow electrical standards.
  • Ability to follow all safety standards.
  • Ability to use power tools e.g. drills, saws, grinders, and cutting wheels.
  • Must have a complete understanding of the manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with clients as well as travel to customer sites occasionally.
  • Detail orientation and commitment to quality.
