Key tasks involve conducting tests, recording data, analyzing results, and reporting any issues to relevant personnel. Success in this role requires attention to detail and adherence to testing protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Testing Procedures:
- Execute testing processes based on established protocols, including functional, performance, stress, or compatibility testing as required.
- Data Collection and Recording:
- Accurately record test data and results in standardized forms or electronic databases; maintain organized and detailed records.
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate specialized testing tools and instruments, such as automated testing systems and diagnostic devices.
- Troubleshooting:
- Identify and address any issues or abnormalities during testing, working with team members to resolve technical problems and ensure test accuracy.
- Quality Assurance:
- Follow QA processes to ensure the reliability of tests. Maintain safety protocols and a clean, orderly work area.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare reports summarizing test results, including observations, anomalies, and failures, and communicate findings to supervisors or stakeholders.
- Process Improvement:
- Suggest enhancements to testing procedures, equipment, or protocols to improve efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
- Collaboration:
- Work with cross-functional teams, such as engineers and product developers, to align with product specifications and testing needs.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company policies on testing processes, data security, and confidentiality.
- Training and Development:
- Stay updated on new testing technologies and methodologies; participate in training to enhance skills.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Test Operator or similar role in manufacturing or production.
- Familiarity with testing methodologies, tools, and equipment.
- Basic understanding of electronic components, circuits, and systems.
- Proficiency with testing equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Experience with Display Testing, Automated Test Set, and understanding of electronic functionality and pass/fail rates.
- Knowledge in debugging and display technology is advantageous.
