As a Senior Specialist, Global Procurement you will support the planning and execution of procurement initiatives using the procure to contract process for Regulatory Affairs & Health Economics and Outcomes Research. This position will conduct data gathering, support spend analytics, assist in delivering measurable cost savings, and monitor savings against contract. You will support evaluations through the development of RFQs, RFIs and RFPs, collectively RFx, and may participate in negotiations. The Senior Specialist will support all vendor sourcing activities which includes but is not limited to preparing QBR data and measuring supplier performance.
A typical day may include the following:
Works to support procurement and category management-related initiatives.
Use sourcing system tools and techniques to meet business needs and issues while supporting collaborators and category teams.
Provides comparative financial analysis when required for sourcing & procurement activities.
Supports category leadership by gathering data, performing detailed spend analysis, and generating required reports.
Supports sourcing and category leads to perform supply market analyses and apply sourcing tools to identify suppliers with capabilities to meet our needs.
Supports sourcing projects within a cross-functional collaborative team environment.
Supports the RFx process, supports contract negotiations, and ensures contract deliverables are realized, e.g. SLA's, Savings, etc.
Monitors and ensures compliance with pricing agreements, internal policies, and procedures, e.g., competitive bidding.
Works within iCertis to draft, collect requirements, and manage workflow for Scopes of Work (SOW) covering commercial terms.
Supports procurement managers to negotiate commercial terms and costs for agreements within the responsibility of the role's Oracle authorization limits.
Tracks the expiry of the contract's term and alerts the procurement manager and stakeholder(s) for existing contracts.
Supports the category procurement team on Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) initiatives.
Responsible to submit iSupplier requests for procurement/category managed suppliers.
Support continuous improvements of the source-to-contract process responding to audit information requests, participating in compliance reviews, and working collaboratively on department and company-wide initiatives.
Support inquiries to inform and educate partners regarding the procurement and contract process and seek to identify system/process enhancements.
Acts to review and process PO requests within their workflow approval authorization level in a timely manner.
Reviews and approves POs in the Oracle workflow for category spend under management.
This may be for you if you:
Have a Bachelor's degree plus 6+ or more years of relevant, progressive experience within procurement, include experience directly in a procurement role or supporting sourcing activities;
or
Masters plus 4+ years or more of progressive. experience within procurement, including in a sourcing role
Additional requirements include:
* Work experience within a biopharmaceutical company is preferred.
* Working knowledge of sourcing and procurement, planning, supplier interface and negotiations, systems applications such as Zycus, Oracle, iCertis (Contracts Management), spend analytic software, MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
* Excellent verbal and written skills
* Networks effectively with internal and external personnel across the company and in own area of expertise
* Basic negotiation skills
* Ability to build consensus, teamwork, and creativity
* Program management experience and project management experience preferred, but not required
