General Manager/Laboratory Director

One of Talent's premier clients is searching for a General Manager/Laboratory Director to join them in their pharmaceutical testing site located in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of both technical and commercial acumen, and have some experience with analytical chemistry testing.

This role is onsite 5 days/week in their laboratory in Los Angeles. Relocation assistance will be provided for qualified candidates!

Responsibilities

• Oversee pharmaceutical & consumer product testing lab of ~65 people, with 4 direct reports
• Responsible for a P/L of about ~15 million
• Define strategy, speak to customers, and ensure lab is on track to meet all goals
• Provide technical direction for the testing of pharmaceutical & consumer products both on market and in clinical trials

Qualifications

• 10 years of related experience managing a laboratory site
• 10 years of experience in pharmaceuticals- experience with testing is highly preferred
• Experience managing a full site P/L
• Strong commercial experience, ability to speak to customers
• Analytical Chemistry background is preferred
