Salary: $51,480DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARYAssist with ensuring compliance and adherence to all environmental, health and safety (EHS) policies and regulations to ensure employees have a safe and healthy working environmentRESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES• Provide direct support in the maintenance and enforcement of all EHS policies, procedures, and best practices for the organization• Regularly conduct safety audits of all departments, and appropriately address individual or group safety issues• Aid in emergency responses in the Pennsylvania (PA) facility, including but not limited to accidents, injuries, acute employee medical concerns, or incidents that may require area or facility evacuations• Assist in the communication and documentation of organizational safety objectives• Work closely with EHS Manager and Human Resources to effectively manage the reporting and handling of work-related injuries to ensure injured workers are given proper medical treatment and medical costs are controlled• Work closely with the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to ensure that Pride facilities are in full compliance with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP), Department of Agriculture (DAG) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations• Schedule Safety Committee meetings to maintain maximum efficiency and state certifications• Assist with the training, certifications, and maintaining records for all powered industrial truck operators and truck drivers in PA facilities and ensure proper training and certification is conducted and maintained for remote facilities• Assist with quarterly fire inspection systems and annual fire pump testing for all facilities• Coordinate the availability and usage of required First Aid Supplies and Personal Protective Equipment as well as any associated employee reimbursement• Assist EHS Manager on residual waste and recycling programs for PA facilities and complete annual reporting for PADEP• Collaborate with the EHS Manager on the periodic inspections of internal environmental hazards including but not limited to Air Quality Tests, Noise Assessments, Ergonomic Evaluations and Machine Guarding Consultations• Monitor, track and report on sustainability indicators, such as energy usage, natural resource usage, waste generation, and recycling• Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management • Complete the Annual CTPAT Security Training • Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment • Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations• Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessaryREQUIRED SKILLS• Must be a team player, friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and honestMust have the ability to:• Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment• Maintain a valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) card for Pennsylvania• Handle sensitive and confidential matters• Coach, train and motivate employees to work safely• Lift/push/pull up to 40 Lbs.• Travel domestically to Pride facilities if business needs arise• Work extended hours, including weekends, as business needs dictateMust have:• Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement• Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel PREFERRED SKILLS• Strong working knowledge and comprehension of regulations and best practices pertaining to OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state and local government preferredREQUIRED EXPERIENCE• At least 1 year of experience as an EMT or Paramedic responding to emergency callsPREFERRED EXPERIENCE • At least 1 year of Environmental Health or Safety related experience dealing directly with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and state and local government agencies in General Industry standards environment preferred• At least 1 year of Environmental Health or Safety related experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment preferredREQUIRED EDUCATION• PA Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification• High School Diploma or GEDPREFERRED EDUCATION• Associate degree or higher in Occupational/Industrial Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a
