Job Description :
The opportunity: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing clerical, reporting, program, and office support to a civil construction/dredging project job site in accordance with Company procedures. This is a part time position working 2 days per week. 16 hours per week. This position is located in Port Isabel, Texas.About the Company: Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation is the largest provider of dredging services in the United States. The Company's commitment to the IIF® culture promotes a work environment where employee safety is paramount. Responsibilities and functions include:
  • Collect, analyze, and convert comprehensive information into detailed written reports, visualizations, and workflows based on provided logic according to project management needs
  • Create and edit documents containing text and images, work with data in spreadsheets and databases, and create presentations
  • Gather, transform, and load data into various reports, employing Excel functionality to produce charts, graphs, and tables, and provide data entry support
  • Maintain/update current reports and workflows based on evolving needs
  • Troubleshoot reports and processes to resolve errors
  • Responsible for keeping track of receipts from purchases made utilizing the corporate purchasing card
  • Assist Project Manager, Quality Control, and Project Engineer in the office with clerical, reporting, program, and office duties
  • May be assigned additional duties in accordance with project needs
Other requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for operating Company owned/leased/rented vehicles
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with MS Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe software (.pdf)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communication both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Capable of safely lifting packages and parts weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Pre-employment medical screening including drug test and criminal/driving record background check required
