This position is for a Reliability Technician to perform product testing, lab development and maintenance in an electronics / software / mechanical environment for Reliability Engineering.Purpose of PositionThis position is for a Reliability Technician to perform product testing, lab development, and maintenance in an electronics / software / mechanical / hydraulics environment for Reliability Engineering.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership* Contribute in a positive manner that aligns with team goals and objectives.* Work in a strong team environment with willingness to learn, collaborate, and mentor associates.* Support department EH&S and 5S housekeeping initiatives.* Perform maintenance and continuous development of the Reliability Labs.* Drive increase in product reliability and reduction in warranty costs.Execute Lab Work Requests* Perform set-up, component/assembly testing and reporting of test results for the Reliability Labs as requested by team lead and lab manager.* Apply scientific methodology and analytical skills to test performance with high work standards.* Support coworkers in test setup and execution to ensure strong test performance and maintain project schedules.* Provide feedback with a sense of urgency as questions and concerns arise during all phases of test development and testing.* Provide input and feedback for process and test improvement.Support Department Development and Sustainment* Participate in and support development of test methods and sustainment.* Utilize best practices and application of design for reliability methods for test automation and repeatability.* Learn and apply Vontier Business System (VBS) tools to provide overall department growth and continuous improvement.* Support department EH&S and ensure adherence to environmental, health and safety policies, protocols and regulatory compliance in conformance with ISO 45001 and 14001.Background and Skill* Minimum associate degree with strong technical background in electronics and test fixturing abilities.* 3-5 years related experience preferred with test setup, testing, validation and reporting methodologies.* Experience with industrial products and testing.* Must be able to read and understand written instructions.* Good hands-on skills with mechanical / electrical aptitude.* Ability to program PLCs, NI LabView, and other DAQ devices a plus.* Ability to understand and apply a variety of electronic and mechanical instruments.* Good, independent writing skills using Word and Excel with ability to author a multipage report.WHO IS GILBARCO VEEDER-ROOTGilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, is the worldwide technology leader for retail and commercial fueling operations, offering the broadest range of integrated solutions from the forecourt to the convenience store and head office.
