HEADLINE: Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island (Suffolk County, about 1.5 hours to Manhattan): Six Physician Assistants are needed for outpatient, inpatient, or combination of both O/P and I/P opportunities. These are hospital based Physician Assistant opportunities. The financial compensation package is very competitive.
LOCATION: Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island (Suffolk County)
- The new Physician Assistants will be working at a hospital located in Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island New York.
- It is about one and one-half hours to Manhattan.
PRACTICE OPPORTUNITY:
- Located in Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island, six Physician Assistants are needed for hospital-based opportunities.
- They are outpatient, inpatient, or combination of both outpatient and inpatient.
- Daytime and night-time positions are also available.
- The hospital has seven Physician Assistants and five Nurse Practitioners on staff.

Physician Assistants who match any of the following qualifications are all welcome to apply and will be seriously considered:
- Available during 2024
- No work experience and fresh out of training
- The ideal candidate(s) have work experience ranging from one to ten years.
- Candidates who have many years of work experience will be considered for supervisory positions
- If the new Physician Assistant has hospital observation unit experience, it would be a plus. However, this skill is not required.
DUTIES FOR THE PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS
- Making rounds and performing patient exams
- Diagnosing illnesses
- Assisting in suturing
- Ordering and interpreting lab tests and x-rays
- Prescribing medications
- Developing and managing treatment plans
- Advising patients regarding preventative care
FINANCIAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
- The starting salary is $ 125,000 for someone without work experience, i.e., a new or recent graduate.
- The starting salary is $ 150,000 for someone with work experience.
