A health-care organization in the Bronx is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their Patient Care Services team. This role focuses on providing high-quality patient care, ensuring safety, and incorporating cultural values into communication and service provision.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday (8 AM - 4 PM)
- Interviews: Virtual or in-person options available
Responsibilities:The Registered Nurse will:
- Perform patient triage and organize daily huddles
- Maintain hand hygiene and infection control practices
- Obtain and document vital signs and specimens in the EMR
- Administer immunizations and medications
- Provide patient education and assist with procedures
- Obtain insurance approvals and perform diagnostic tests
- Participate in emergency drills and maintain BLS status
- Ensure patient care equipment is operational and attend scheduled meetings
- Deliver professional communication and excellent customer service
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred
- Two years of clinical experience, preferably in an ambulatory setting
- NYS Registered Professional Nurse license
- Current BLS certification
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 pounds
