Office Technician (Typing) - Training & Education Center
The Training & Education Center is accepting applications for a full time, permanent Office Technician (Typing) position. The applicant should be able to perform clerical work, including ability to spell correctly; communicate well; make arithmetical computations, operate various office machines, follow oral and written directions; evaluate situations accurately and take effective action. Make clear and comprehensive reports, keep records; meet and deal tactfully with the public; apply specific laws, rules and office polices and procedures; prepare correspondence independently and communicate effectively. * The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Additional information regarding acceptable typing tests is available at the CalCareers.ca.gov website.
A typing certificate is required with your application. We will honor typing certificates issued within the last four (4) years and certified from a five (5) minutes typing test, with a minimum of 40 words per minute. Acceptable Certificates are from the following entities: Any CA State Agency/Department; Business schools or Colleges; Adult Education Center; or Skills and Business Education Center.
