Purpose of position: Inside Sales Representative Tier 1 plays a vital role in supporting sales efforts by generating quotations, managing the job registration process, providing real-time support for sales-related inquiries, coordinating sales orders, managing the water sample program, and assisting with various administrative tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Job Registration Process:
  • Create registrations for direct sales and review registrations for representative sales, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Act as a gatekeeper to validate project availability with a high level of accuracy and implement the new Water Sampling Program requirement for job registration.
  • Salesforce Data Entry:
  • Assist RSMs with real-time data entry while on the road, verify monthly shipment/delivery requirements and project specifications, and chase sales team for missing Salesforce data fields.
  • Generate Line Item Quotations - New Boiler Orders and Major Ancillaries:
  • Create quotes in CPQ based on equipment selection and design provided by Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate initiatives.
  • Assist RSMs by gathering any missing information or requirements, contacting representatives or customers directly for basic info.
  • Sales Order Coordination:
  • Provide copies of invoices, secure deposits, and payments when needed, and identify lead time information with production control and procurement.
  • Assist the admin team with researching and communicating ship date delays and confirm shipment dates with logistics.
  • Assist RSMs as Needed:
  • Provide real-time phone support for products, customer, and representative research, and occasionally assist with urgent administrative needs.
  • Advise representatives on co-op balance, identify marketing projects, and develop & distribute monthly reports to track progress toward annual goals set with RSMs.
  • Lead Follow-up:
  • Accept leads from the Business Development Specialist, determine direct vs. representative sale potential, and distribute leads to the correct Miura Salesperson.
  • Follow up with representatives to ensure timely contact with leads.
  • Identify multi-touch leads in Salesforce, research companies, and contact leads using Miura scripts to requalify or disqualify.
  • Water Sample Program
  • Proactively represent water sample analysis program.
  • Send and receive sample boxes.
  • Upload samples and send analysis results.
  • Document Analysis Results, etc.
  • Real-time Phone & Email Support - Sales-Related Inquiries (Immediate, Fast-track):
  • Respond directly to basic inquiries from RSMs or representatives regarding billing, pricing, policies, availability, and delivery inquiries.
  • Act as a conduit for information flow from factory to field for time-sensitive sales subjects and synchronize activity with RSMs.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Position Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position):
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in inside sales or customer service role preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce CRM.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
