JOB SUMMARY The Accounting Administrator is responsible for accounts payable, general bookkeeping, preparing and Maintaining financial records and general accounting functions of the agency in accordance with the prescribed agency and accounting procedures. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Has knowledge of and is able to proficiently perform all Accounts Payable and other accounting functions including reconciling vendor statements and researching general ledger variances.
  • Research prior payments and settles payment issues with vendors
  • Processes and reconciles monthly credit card statements
  • Performs complex record keeping functions requiring knowledge of bookkeeping procedures.
  • Assists with daily reception/phone relief.
  • Completes filing of payables records including electronically
  • Cash handling experience for daily deposits.
  • Predictable, consistent attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associates degree in Business, Accounting or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • One year of experience in accounting or other relevant administrative functions including proficiency in the use of computer and office equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior Not for Profit experience.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • High level of competency working with Microsoft Office suite and cloud-based applications.
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. POSITION TYPE
  • Full time - Hybrid
  • Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
