Job Description :
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for driving continuous improvement, investigating the causes of non-conformances, implementing corrective & preventive actions, and collaborating with Engineering on new product development projects. Additionally, this role is expected to provide technical support and guidance to the Quality Team as well as others throughout the organization. This is a hands-on position in a fast paced and evolving environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Investigating and resolving quality problems and concerns from Calibration, Inspection, Receiving, RMAs, and Testing.
  • Trouble shooting and making repairs when needed.
  • Handling customer complaint investigations, both internal and external.
  • Maintaining the Nonconformance Log and CRM systems, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Supplier Development, including audits, monitoring performance, and reporting results.
  • Collaborating with suppliers on root cause investigations and corrections related to non-conformances.
  • Collaborating with Engineering, Suppliers and other interested parties implementing Engineering Change Notices.
  • Testing, including but not limited to, Load, Hardness and XRF.
  • Facilitating continuous improvement projects internally and externally.
  • Supporting Engineering on new development projects, measuring and testing samples.
  • Providing technical leadership, guidance, training, and support to other associates.
Education/Experience Required
  • BS degree in a technical field desirable, nut not required.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Auditor Training or firsthand experience with similar Quality Management Systems (IATF 16949, AS 9100 ISO 13845, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of ISO 17025 desirable.
  • Two years prior experience working in Quality, Engineering, or another technical role.
  • Demonstrated use of Quality tools such as: the 8D problem solving process, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Value Stream Mapping, APQPs, FMEAs, Control Plans, and LEAN Six Sigma.
    • Strong analytical and statistical skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive change.
    • American Society of Quality Certification is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently in a fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
    • Ability to travel up to 25%.
