Job DetailsJob Location Sonora - Sonora, CA Salary Range $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 Salary DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, the Construction Project Manager will be responsible for various ongoing construction projects for Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center (TMWIHC). This is a leadership position requiring the incumbent to be adept at multi-tasking through the management of various large projects while also providing guidance and supervision to the Building and Maintenance staff. The incumbent must be able to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders. Adhering to an open communication model this role requires the ability to develop and maintain relationships with the outside sub-contractors that will be performing for TMWIHC. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: (will include, but not be limited to) The Construction Project Manager is tasked with managing assigned projects from start to finish, including estimating, obtaining code clearance and licenses, and all pre-construction tasks through final inspections. An additional job responsibility is to ensure that the Building and Maintenance staff are addressing any issues in a timely manner while also being vigilant for any potential issues. Experience in leading teams utilizing performance management techniques while providing upskill training as needed is an expectation. Starting by gathering a full understanding of the needs of TMWIHC in any construction project, the Construction Project Manager will engage with architects to obtain plans and specifications necessary to create scope of work. Being detail oriented is a must as multiple competing priorities can be expected each day as the incumbent completes the extensive list of activities required for any large construction project including but not limited to the following: Building plans/Project Design Document submissions/permit tracking/maintaining a project schedule/ managing close project close outs/ O&M's/Warranties/lien releases/punch list items In this role the incumbent will also be responsible for evaluating the long-term needs of TMWIHC, creating at a minimum a five-year plan to address major projects and property improvements which will be presented to the Board along with regular updates. Having the communication skills to craft and present such items is a critical component of the skill set necessary for success. As a leader within the organization tasked with having a substantial outside presence within the community, it is critical that the incumbent can engage at all levels with multiple people always presenting themselves as an ambassador of TMWIHC and the Me-Wuk Native Peoples. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Education and Experience:Pattern I: Bachelor's degree in construction project management with a minimum of five (5) years of general construction experience with at least two (2) years being in a supervisory capacity. OrPattern II: Five (5) + years of verifiable experience operating in a similar role. Of this experience a minimum of two (2) years should be experience in Commercial construction projects. Preferred Qualifications: Experienced Leader with the skill set to supervise both internal and external staff OSHA 30 hour & CPR/First Aid/AED Certification Experienced in communicating and collaborating with City/County building departments Experience working with Native American population in a healthcare setting 2+ years preferred. Required: Must have a valid California Drivers License (or ability to obtain within 30 days) and personal auto insurance with $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury and $100,000 property damage, or a combined $300,000 single limit. Must have clean driving record. Must be insurable and eligible for coverage under TMWIHC policies enabling use of company vehicles. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires walking, standing, bending, squatting, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. On occasion, may be required to lift items weighing 50 to 100 pounds. In this position there will be the use of 20-foot ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, raising objects overhead. This is a highly physical role please inquire further to determine all potential activities.
