ANNOUNCEMENT DATE: November 7, 2024 INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CLOSING DATE: Until Filled JOB CLASSIFICATION: Classified JOB TITLE: Custodian TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 hours daily, 12 months per year (Evening work) Rate of Pay: Per current classified salary schedule Fringe Benefits effective after probation LOCATION: Globe Unifed School District REPORTS TO: Maintanence Supervisor OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Full-time custodians perform manual work in the cleaning and general maintenance of buildings and grounds areas. Duties include regular clean-up such as sweeping, vacuuming, waxing, scrubbing, polishing floors; washing windows, dusting, cleaning chalkboards, moving furniture, emptying trash, etc. Other duties include minor repair and maintenance with maintenance supervisor's approval. Additional duties will be assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Good physical condition because the work requires considerable activity such as lifting, climbing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, crawling, etc. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Previous custodial experience preferable.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
