We believe in conducting business with honesty and transparency, continuously seeking new ways to improve and evolve, fostering relationships with our community and supporting local initiatives, and operating in an environmentally responsible manner to minimize our impact on the planet.Job Summary:The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for the overall strategic management of all purchasing activities, process and procedures, and departmental metrics to minimize costs, ensure timely material availability, and support operational efficiencies.This position is based in Milledgeville, GA and will report to the Director of Supply Chain.Key Responsibilities:? Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to ethical and sustainability standards.? Developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies for cost optimization and enhancing supply chain efficiency.? Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, payment terms, and mutually beneficial agreements.? Managing supplier relationships, including ongoing performance evaluation, issue resolution, and fostering long-term partnerships.? Monitoring inventory levels, analyzing demand patterns, and implementing inventory management strategies to efficiently manage stock levels and avoid shortages and excesses.? Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align procurement activities with organizational goals.Qualifications and Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, statistics or related fields, or job experience equivalency. 3-5 years of professional experience preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel Experience with Microsoft AX R3, preferred Demonstrated experience managing and applying analytics to real-world data challenges.Attributes: ?
